Location: Sydney Inner, New South Wales   Kinetic Defence is the leading supplier of recruitment solutions to the Defence and Aerospace industries. Our client is currently looking for an experienced Mechanical Design Draftsperson who is looking for a challenging role with a specialist consulting company. This position will see the successful applicant reporting to the Mechanical Engineering Manager and will provide an excellent opportunity to expand you experience in Defence design and drafting. RESPONSIBILITIES: Undertake mechanical engineering design and drafting activities in accordance with all relevant company procedures, Australian drawing standard AS1100 and applicable contractual standards, including Military Standards. Engineering design and modelling work will make use of Autodesk Inventor as appropriate. Document all design work and provide weekly progress reports. QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE: A diploma, degree or trade certificate in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent. Experienced in the use of Autodesk Mechanical desktop and Inventor. A good working knowledge of drafting practices and relevant Australian standards.
