Location: Sydney, New South Wales, Australia   An opportunity has become available in one of the largest Wealth management organisations in Australia, who specialise in superannuation and life insurance. Located in North Sydney they are a fantastic organisation who are big on a work/life balance and believe in working with the best. They are looking for a Senior Analyst Programmer who specialises in VB.NET and VB6. The main responsibility of this role will be to assist in the maintenance, development, coding and testing of software for existing systems, and for projects, major system enhancements and/or upgrades. Other responsibilities will include: Liaise with Business Analysts to develop clearly defined solutions and technical specifications Generate program test data and conducting testing, code and debug complex programs Monitor system effectiveness in satisfying User needs during implementation Train User personnel in use of new or amended systems Implement upgrades or new software following BT Operational Model In order for you to be successful for the role you will need: STRONG VB.NET and VB6 experience Ability to mentor other team members Significant experience in application development, in a structured development environment Experience with formal development methodologies and quality assurance policies Experience with production or technical documentation including technical specifications, operating instructions and test plans Excellent communication skills and team work Other skills necessary are: all versions of Microsoft Windows, VBA, SQL Server, MS Access.
