My client requires a strong Excel VBA developer carry out the following: Maintain front, middle and Back Office systems in predominantly Excel VBA Develop new systems and improve existing ones in Excel VBA Work with the business users and other technologists to develop and deliver solutions within a timely manner, within the scope of the overall business strategy Adopt a proactive approach to technology and introduce new/improved solutions Demonstrate practical know-how and expertise in current technologies Build and maintain strong relationships with the business and other parts of IT Adhere to standard change, development and quality assurance methodology and processes. You will have the following skills: Good experience in design, development and implementation using Excel VBA Strong analytical and problem solving abilities Willingness to work primarily in VB/VBA with view to use other technologies as required Competence in relational databases and SQL Experience in Object Oriented methodologies Strong desire for technical excellence An ability to work in a fast-paced, pressurised, trading environment Exposure to functional languages would be advantageous.
