(IT) Business Analyst (Energy) 6 MonthsDate:Thu, 03 Jul 2008 05:58:50 GMT Location: Sydney We seek a Business Analyst who will assist the Business Development Manager develop and analyse new business opportunities for carbon abatement, energy efficiency and demand management projects throughout Australia. This exciting opportunity will provide you with the opportunity for innovation in developing new projects in the emerging carbon markets, as well as challenging you in research, analysis, financial modelling, planning, reporting and evaluation aspects of new projects and opportunities. Position Responsibilities: Critically evaluate information gathered from multiple sources, project development Financial modelling and analysis for potential projects. Strong analytical and project management skills required, including a thorough understanding of how to interpret customer business needs and translate them into application and operational requirements. Prepare business cases, reports, correspondence and proposals. Proactively communicate and collaborate with external stakeholders, internal colleagues, product suppliers and project partner organisations, to identify and analyse opportunities, as well as inform them of relevant issues and provide updates on project progress. Design monitoring and verification systems for project activities to ensure that the project is operating according to plan Provide assistance in other parts of the business, as identified and agreed by Business Development Manager. Candidates Selection criteria: Solid business analysis and project management experience. Financial modelling and analysis skills. A high level of energy and drive combined with superior problem solving skills. Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group, executives, managers, government officers, product suppliers. Knowledge of energy efficiency, demand management and greenhouse gas abatement schemes. Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment. Sound time management skills ability to multi-task Commitment to ongoing learning and proven ability to adapt to change. Advanced computer skills (Microsoft Office programs). Tertiary education (highly desirable).
