A Government Department in Canberra is seeking a Fellow of the Institute of Actuaries of Australia with 5 years post-graduate experience, skilled in developing reports and applying actuarial and insurance-based techniques for the projection of the future cost of the programme.
Skills and Experience:
Fellow of the Institute of Actuaries of Australia, with at least five years post-qualification experience
Experience in working with large and sensitive data sets in the human services and disability area
An understanding of valuation models and monitoring reports on long-term costs of disability
Specialist knowledge of actuarial, statistical and mathematical modelling techniques
Must have Actuarial experience
Candidate must have a clear understanding of the division (Scheme Actuary) and its functions.
Has been involved in a large-scale scheme/project with significant impact on stakeholder communities.
The role requires the candidate to be an Australian Citizen.
